The habitat areas contained herein have been derived using the best available desktop information at the time of plan preparation in addition to field survey. This includes OSNI orthos and condition assessment data and reports 2002-2017.

This site was mapped by Arup.

A number of mosaic habitats have been included in this map as they are interwoven and not easily distinguishable at the level of mapping applied for this habitat map.

W9 NVC category was included within H9180 classification if occurring on "slopes, screes and ravines".

For any B4/Calcareous grassland - even if poor quality, if restorable was included within H6210. Where calcareous grassland tends to occur as a mosaic with poorer grassland on deeper soils between knolls, this has been included as calcareous grassland (H6210)

Site visits were conducted by NIEA post-map production to ground truth a proportion of the mapping. The habitat map was created at 1:1,000 scale and mapped to Phase 1, EUNIS and Annex 1, where appropriate.
