Service Description: They illustrate the distribution of existing habitat resources and the potential to extend habitats making them bigger better more and more joined up. They are based on a 20a hexagonal grid. The version we have provided covers the whole geography, as we feel that these layers help to visualise the networks of opportunity that exist both inside and outside the strategic network, and both affirm the fact that nature recovery is possible outside the strategic network and the potential to evolve the strategic network in future iterations of the LNRS.. • CLUZ_Habitats. This layer is derived from the QGIS plug-in, which provides an extension of the MARXAN software product. It can be styled to produce individual networks for summarised habitat opportunities for each of the NYY LNRS priority habitats. The value represents the abundance of that habitat within a 20hs hexagonal planning unit.
