Attribute data includes the correct name for each HER, a hyperlink to the relevant Heritage Gateway page for the HER, a hyperlink to the HER audit summary (where there has been an audit in the last five years), and information about the incorporation of previous Urban Archaeological Databases (UADs).

The dataset is maintained by the HER Partnerships team (2024). It includes a new attribute field which provides a hyperlink for each HER to their current audit summary. The dataset was originally created in 2016, including spatial extents based on and amalgamated from Ordnance Survey datasets. It was maintained by the Heritage Information Partnerships (HIPs) team until 2023.
